Our Story:
Acústyka is an Adult Contemporary Rock group from Austin, Texas featuring John Ardila (vocals, electric and classical guitar), Jayme Munoz (classical guitar), Nick Lewis (bass guitar), and Jim Watson(drums). Acústyka began in May of 2003 setting out to combine rock, jazz, and R&B with blazing electric and classical guitars, driving rhythms, soulful vocals and great, catchy hooks, creating an exciting new style that’s destined to turn some heads and set some trends in the music industry! Acústyka's original line-up, John Ardila, Ron Tindle, Angel Villarreal, Gino Macias, and Eric Nanyes, released their debut CD, “Sunrise to Sunset”, in July of 2004. This hot collection of tracks covers a wide spectrum of sounds from sweet, melodic, acoustic pieces to danceable, soulful rock numbers reminiscent of classic Santana, but with a unique flavor all their own. David Lynch of the Austin Chronicle describes their music as “…Journey meets Santana, with a touch of Strunz and Farrah thrown in for good measure”. Acústyka is a talented band on the fast track to success with great music and a powerful live show that displays an obvious love for what they do. They’ve re-introduced Art, Style and Class back into Rock and Roll!!

Holy Sh!!! My girlfriend and I caught this band at the Iron Cactus and were completely amazed by their energy and style! Their guitar player (Jaime?) has got to be one of the hottest guitar players I've ever seen!! I bought a CD and only wish that their new lineup was on it, although the songs on it are all great! Maybe next CD?

Saw these guys at a party in Austin and bought their CD and have played it 20 times. My wife even says she enjoys cleaning the house more to the sound of Acustyka. This band has a great blend of Latin, Flamenco rock with a touch of the blues. Loved the percussion!
WOW! Acustyka blew me away at a private party in NW Austin Friday night. They have inbelievable talent and passion and it comes through in their music. I could of stayed all night. You guys are destined for greatness. Get the word out!!!!!
Acustyka is beyond a doubt one of the hottest upcoming bands out of Austin that we have seen in years. Their CD, Sunrise to Sunset just keeps getting more awesome everytime we play it. John Ardila has a passion that will lead this band to success. Go see them any chance you get. You will be energized.
I was blown away the first time I listened to the CD. Great smooth sound with a hard edge when they want to cut loose. I cannot wait to see these guys live. I have the random CD changer loaded with Acustyka, Los Lonely Boys, Eric Claptan and these hold their own.
This album is the best, freshest new sound I've heard this decade! The songs are catchey and I've just about worn my CD out playing it so much. Los Lonley Boys, move over and let the sun shine in!
