Our Story:

CAREER CRIMINAL is a 5-piece punk/hardcore band based in Austin, TX. Drawing comparisons to the stripped-down punk sound of bands like Sham 69 and Cocksparrer with touches of fast-paced hardcore reminiscent of Slapshot and Cro-Mags, CAREER CRIMINAL is a healthy dose of no-frills throwback. CAREER CRIMINAL is comprised of all 4 members of post-hardcore outfit BITTER TONGUES (United Edge Records) and the band's early material was originally written under the same name following a lengthy hiatus. After the focus shifted dramatically from the angular post-punk sound of the band's previous material, the old name was scrapped and CAREER CRIMINAL was born.

After only two shows, the buzz surrounding the band was enough to garner an invitation to support legendary punk band Iron Cross on a Texas tour. Regional shows with Reagan Youth, Fucked Up, The Avengers, Pansy Division and The Krum Bums became standard fare.

The band's s/t CDEP was recorded by Stan Wright (Death Threat, Signal Lost) and is available now through Shattered World Records.
