Caracas, a city that revels in its high contrasts. Old school salsa, house, drum nbass, dub, cumbia, electro, break beats, tango, latinotronia, jazz, funk, techno, flamenkillo, electropical. This is the soundtrack that Demetrio de CCs has been spinning for five years to create the perfect party in any club in the Latin American cosmopolis. SantaLaDiabla dancetera and BarraBar, in his native Venezuela, have been the laboratories where he has experimented to find the perfect Hispanic electro-beat. He pours into his mixture all the best sounds from Argentina, Peru, Chile, Brazil, Columbia, Mexico and of course Venezuela. He has shared turntables with DJs of worldwide repute, such as Armand Van Helden, Hernan Cattaneo, Dj Pierre, Roy Davis Jr, Sean Rudnik, Junkie XL, Dany Howells, G Moore, Deep House Movement, Donald Glaude, the English ensemble The Shrine, James Fierce, H. Polar (Colombia-Mexico),Terry Francis, George Acosta, Ivano Bellini and Judge Jules. And to give you an idea of where Demetrio de Ccs is heading musically: Nortec, Marciano, Nopal Beat, Novalima, Sidestepper, Boeing, Sussie 4, Bajo Fondo Tango Club, Los Amigos Invisibles and Capri are some of the names that youll find gracing his decks.
