Our Story:

Paul Rocco known as ENCRYPTED, was born in Malden Massachusetts on January 28th 1985 and raised on the outskirts of Boston in the city of Everett, in a very italian settled neighborhood. When Paul was a 11 his parents split up and moved to Wilmington Massachusetts, which is North of Boston. He still resides there now, still going to his old city seeing freinds. Once Paul was 12 he started heavily getting into hip-hop music listening to artists like Wu-Tang, Dr. Dre, and Snoop to name a few. He made his stage name by age 13 after thinking about what he wanted to call himself. He thought he wanted it to make you think, be descriptive, and not be corny. Paul came up with "Encrypted" because the meaning is coded, kind of mysterious since its a hidden message, with its own look. After he gained his name he started working with music, freestlying, and learning the basics.

The first time he heard mainsteam hip-hop artist Eminem, he knew that white people could have a place in hip-hop with respect. "I was in my room and I remember seeing this kid on MTV rapping, at first I thought he was a joke, but I soon realized this kid was with Dre, and was no joke", says Paul after seeing EMINEM's music video "My Name Is" premire on MTV. Paul started interacting in the hip-hop community from D12World.com and started battling and posting freestyles in its message board. From here he gained knowlage and experience from watching others do it, and getting feedback from his work. He was ready....to give this rap thing a try..

After numerous attempts at making an album, Paul (now known as "Encrypted" or "Encry" for short)was ready to drop his first demo, it was composed of his quote "Wack Freestyles" and put on a cd and titled quite bluntly "The Freestlyes EP" he passed it out to friends and family and people in school, Paul was gaining a reputation and getting the recognition he felt he deserved. Paul is currently working on his Freshman release "The Encrylogy Project" set to hit stores locally and online June 2003.

By the age of 17 Paul says he still has plenty to learn, and plenty of time to learn, but does not want to waste a second of the day...wasteing time. He plans on doing shows, having appearences on mix tapes, & other artists albums. He just "wants to get his name out" so he can be real with his approach to the harsh world we call hip-hop. With his real, dark, and provocitive lyrics he hopes to bring his own style to the game. He wants to make sure people don't mistake him as the next eminem, or next wannabe rapper. He is doing his thing, whatever the future holds... is unknown, but as his father always told him, "You can do anything you put your mind too" he will put his mind to this... and he will stay real.

"The Window To Outside and The Walls That Close Me In" featured his newest style. Asked on why he wanted to move towords this new style Paul said, "Its more me, its more real, Im not one of those gangster chrome pistol packin rappers, just not me". This will be his 1st official release, and will be used as a demo.
