Our Story:

Formed in the fall of 2000. Released first demo a year later, and the first full length, White Knuckles on Turned Wheels in the spring of 2003. The first album is the combination of improvs which turned into songs and some actual song writing. As people we are very eclectic in our influences which is why we work well together. Chris and Jeff have played together since high school (pre-ethan durelle) and come from a classical, old school emo (mid 90s) background in addition to heavy influences in punk for Chris and metal for Jeff. Evan met up with Chris and Jeff early in college (2000), whose experience consists of simply playing his instrument more years than I have fingers. Theo, who joined the band a year after Evan, has a background in late-night ambient improvization, jazz, and mood music. All this thrown together has made for a cute writing experience, keeping us on our toes, and producing a wide spectrum of songs. The sound of ethan durelle covers everything from soaring chaos to beautiful calm, from \\\"shake your booty\\\" to \\\"cover your ears.\\\" It keeps us from getting bored. Oh, and we\\\'re from TEXAS! That is as biographical as we get... For you industry people who want to see some credentials, we have played with bands such as Switchfoot, Eisley, Lovedrug, Action Action, Cool Hand Luke, Aireline, Stavesacre, Evelynn, Embodyment, and festivals such as South by Southwest, Cornerstone, and Northgate.
