Our Story:

Los Angeles rock quartet FATIMA's emotionally charged lyrics, energetic live shows, and D.I.Y. work ethic have won them a loyal fan base.

Singer/songwriter/guitarist Cesar Villa began writing songs after his freshman year in college with bassist Rudy Reyes. They recruited drummer Alex Estevez (and later Alan Torres) and the journey began.

The original lineup began 'paying their dues' in several clubs throughout the Los Angeles area. Wanting to hone their sound, skills and just play music, no gigs were too small.

After experimenting with various influences, the group decided to record some tracks. The result was "Ojos Cerrados", a great freshman album that was received well. Though, the sound was not the sound that the group was after. They quickly began writing for their next record.

Taking their name from the Virgin of Fatima. Singer/Cesar became intrigued with her legacy after reading and studying the history of the apparitions of her in his Philosophy of Religion class. A few lineup changes occurred early on, including the recent addition of Victor on Drums; the quartet - Rudy Reyes (bass), Ever Hernandez (guitar), Victor Trujillo (drums), and Cesar Villa (vocals/guitar) - is now solidified.

Emerging from the thriving rock scene in their hometown, the band began honing their sound, and playing shows whenever possible.

Making two-song samplers, FATIMA managed to pass out a few thousand copies around town, sparking a word-of-mouth buzz all over the West Coast and Mexico.

The group entered the studio in December 2006 to record their debut full-length record. The end result is the ambitious "ESCUCHAME", to be release in 2007. The record showcases the band's significant growth from their early days. The record also marks FATIMA's crossover into the mainstream as their fan base grows considerably.

Touring from California to Mexico and beyond in support, the very busy band finds time between opening for big acts and playing music festivals to promoting their own jam packed shows in their hometown of Los Angeles.

FATIMA will spend summer 2007 embarking on a promotional tour of the United States and Mexico. It's easy to say that their work ethic hasn't wavered and life on the road will continue as they bring their thought provoking new songs to music fans everywhere.

On "ESCUCHAME", FATIMA uses their infectious, melodic songs with a punk edge to explore the struggle inherent in choosing a path and making the hard decisions life presents to us all.
