Our Story:

"LONELY" THE FIRST SINGLE FROM JACKSON TAYLOR'S NEW CD, "DARK DAYS" CONTINUES ITS TOP TEN CLIMB THIS WEEK LANDING AT #6 ON THE TEXAS MUSIC CHARTS.

(Austin, TX)- Decemer 3, 2007--Jackson Taylor's debut label release "Dark Days" (Smith Entertainment Group) which released Tuesday September 11, 2007 is already a hit with radio. The debut single "Lonely" is quickly climbing the Texas Music Charts, landing at #30 its first week out and maintaining its steady climb from #9 to #6 this week. The song is easily identifying with everyone as it is an emotional reminder that despair can affect each one of us at some point leaving no one exempt from life's "dark days". Aptly titled "Dark Days", the eleven track CD is a testament to the trials and tribulations that one faces when battling one's own inner demons, a subject that Jackson Taylor knows all too well. The CD was produced by Jackson Taylor and Ronnie Belaire, and engineered by Allen Larsen in the mountains of Washington State at Cascade Studios. "Dark Days" mirrors Jackson's take no prisoners approach to life which is clearly evident in the song "Outlaws Ain't Wanted Anymore". The track is a true account of Jackson's own experiences while trying to find his place within the country music industry in Nashville. Also featured on the new album is a haunting rendition of the Billy Joe Shaver classic "Honky Tonk Heroes" - one that Billy Joe Shaver himself deems the best he has ever heard. Often controversial but never never dull, Jackson Taylor has a uniqueness which can be heard in his songwriting, felt in performances, and clearly seen in his lifestyle. Combining his real life experiences with elements of old school honky tonk, while throwing in flavors of punk and rockabilly, Jackson has managed to create a style all his own. He continues to bend the rules of traditional country music with his straightforward lyrics, "take it or leave it" attitude, intense live performances, and the drive and determination of a freight train.

"Jackson's songs are so real and honest, you know straight off he's been there and done that. He writes and sings like he lives - great songs that, I believe, will live forever." --Billy Joe Shaver
