The Beginning
By Parris Lamont
JKC Your up! The director shouted while checking the schedule.OK; let’s go John said strapping on his guitar over his shoulder. Amanda was already on stage giving an announcement. They started to play. Boom! Everything went wrong.
Walter looked at Alma and smiled. Nice job when will you spread the virus? Walter asked. Alma just stood there staring at the empty screens. Now! Alma said. Alma reached down at the keyboard and pressed a button. Suddenly a cool voice filled the room. Warning! Warning! Virus outbreak!
Amanda opened her eyes to see the rest of the band members sitting around her. The band smiled. What happened, Amanda asked while sitting up. All the bands faces went grim. Hell we don’t know. All we know is that everyone is gone and there is blood everywhere Jerry replied. Amanda stood up and looked around. It was horrible, there was blood everywhere even on their clothes. Suddenly a hungry moan filled the air.
What was that? Jerry asked while backing away from the band. Hum, I have good news and bad news. The good news it’s a zombie. The bad news well were screwed. John said while inspecting the zombie coming towards the band. Where’s a when you need one. Jimmy said as he looked around. Uh behind you Amanda said pointing at a glass case behind him. The writing said incase of zombie break glass. Jimmy stared at the case with the gun inside. How weird but convenient, Jimmy thought. Smash!! The glass shattered from the impact of the chair. Bam! A bullet hole appeared in the zombies left eye. The zombie fell to the ground dead.
Walter turned on the computer screen to access the cameras for the city. He decided to check the camera for the Vintage Lounge. Walters’s eyes widened. Inside the Vintage building was four people. Three male one female. One was John Lamont, Parris’s dad. Great! First I had to deal with Parris. Now I have to deal with his dad. Walter said as he slammed the keyboard. Alma walked over next to him and stared at the five survivors. Suddenly Walter felt relaxed. Somehow the girl’s presence relaxed him. Walter smiled. Shall we? They both vanished.
Well there’s no more ammo anywhere and this gun only holds 15 bullets, Jimmy said slamming the draw closed. John nodded opening another draw. Jerry and Amanda were checking the motel across the street. Bingo! John yelled pulling out two pistol clips. Jimmy snatched the clips and smiled. John grabbed his beeping radio and pressed the receiver. Amanda’s voice blurted through the static of the radio. Help! Creature…JKC…Killing… AHHH… Amanda! Amanda! John yelled into the radio. Jimmy looked at him with that “what just happened?” John shook his head.
