Our Story:

They met the day of Maggie's birth 23 years ago. However, Judd was soon consumed by burning GI Joe figures under his porch and so forgot about his sister until 15 years later, just in time for the high school talent show. Ever since then they've been reacquainting and playing music together. In 2003 they released "Concentrate", their first album, which was made in Baltimore, MD with the help of friends. They toured ever so slightly but accrued some pretty swell reviews from the album. About the same time they met their manager at a show in D.C. He started making them play in conference rooms in tall buildings with glass facades for groups of people. One particular group from the RCA/Victor label took a fancy to their tunes/personalities and negotiations commenced. In Fall of 2005 "Subjects", produced by Joey Waronker (Beck, REM) and father Lenny Waronker (Randy Newman, Doobie Brothers), was released and touring commenced with the likes of Evan Dando, Michael Penn, and Derek Webb. Now it's the Winter of 2006 and J&M find themselves living in a duplex in East Nashville, a beautiful lil' neighborhood. New songs are being written and recorded and they will hopefully be released in some form in the Spring.
