Our Story:

Kawa (K-wah) is named after a very good freind of ours Doug Kawa, who's life was taken way too quickly due to cancer. He was a great friend and will be dearly missed. Doug had a passion for metal music and was just an excellent person to get to know. The rise of Kawa came about 2 years ago. Several of us were in different bands, coming together through various friends. After writing several songs, Kawa has come full circle and has released Godshovel available only via download. A neverending drive for a different sound and originality dominates KAWA's approach, and above all we are having fun doing it.
