Our Story:
Forming in the summer of 2005, LIONS quickly gained attention with their blend of chaotic, high-energy live shows and fuzzed out, groove-oriented songwriting. Within months they were sharing the same stages with The Division of Laura Lee, Fu Manchu, The Detroit Cobras, Nebula, DMBQ, Atomic Bitchwax and many others. In September 2005, LIONS began recording some of their shows and giving certain tracks away for free, creating an underground buzz that helped land them shows throughout the Southern states as well as a showcase at the 2006 SXSW Music Conference.

this is probably one of the best heavy rock albums i've heard in the last five years. Lions have a unique angle on the often generic "stoner rock" sound and all of these tunes are dynamic and deliberate- standouts being the pummel of "Come Around", the anthemic noise-ballad "Systems Down", and the psychedelic outro "City Beats". Color me impressed by their first release... and don't miss the phone message- Classic!
