Nithera is a metal band from Austin, TX. Originally formed in 2003 by members Joe (Morgoth) McWhorter, Nathan (Natron) Timmerman, and Ted (Dawn of the Ted) Kemper. Nithera fuses together the elements of metal, hardcore, punk, and alternative. The band has built a reputation in and around Austin TX as a professional and potent musical force.

After a short lived hiadus, the original members eventually came together again and the band regrouped as a four piece in 2006 after combining a new vocalist/guitarist into the mix. Nithera then used the monacher "Ghost of Nithera". After the years of hard work and dedication, the band burst onto the live music scene in May 2007 and immediately gained fans/support from all across Texas. The band has been featured on 101X Homegrown Live and have earned praise from many promotors/bands/fans from across the country as well as the likes of local music gurus Chuck Loesch of 101X No Control and Sal Silva, founder and CEO of CDFuse.com. In late 2007, the vocalist and the band parted ways. Back now as Nithera, the band is continuing forward with their passion for music.
