About the Album...
The independent full-length 'FAME! FAME! FAME!' has solidified Slider as a premier modern rock outfit. Brilliantly crafted and insightful advanced this most recent release from Slider takes the listener on a dynamic audio excursion. FAME! FAME! FAME! takes 90's alternative to a more modern and progressive rock style. Musically, it draws from a diverse array of influences and blends into a cohesive original sound. Lyrically, the album follows a mature progression from adolescent-esque heartache to personal social struggle. It encompasses themes of anti-commercialism and critiques of pop-culture ideology in American youth. Slider's work is marketable but moreover, it is genuine. FAME! FAME! FAME! is a must have album.
Sounds Like...
Nothing else. Listen and you'll agree. Comparisons have been drawn, however, to the likes of Circa Survive, Glassjaw, The Mars Volta, Coheed and Cambria, My Chemical Romance...
About the show...
Slider's live show is littered with eye candy of a weird, passive-aggressive and androgynous nature. It is an epic production. A rock show in every sense, it is characterized by slamming guitars and flailing limbs. Mic-twirling meets gyrating hips, as the drummer splatters his 3-piece kit with blood from his own busted knuckles. The volatile energy and the alluring nature of the spectacle will have crowds buzzing for weeks.

Good stuff, keep up the work.
The cd and their new stuff is great! The live show is amazing - I can't wait until they come back to Dallas!
looking forward to seeing you guys play live again!
You dumbass, Black Sabbath uses open tuning . . . QOTSA too . . . a few other thousand bands also. Let me guess, you're in to Queensryche? Are there certain tunings and chords that make a band good? Are certain tunings gauranteed to sound good? Nashville 5-string tuning may sound good for the Stones but maybe not for all other musical approaches. Does a keyboard legitimize a band? Let me know.
These guys sat me down at their laptop to give my word, and my word is rock. these boys are hot, just like their sound. austin, tx. yeah.
Everyone check these guys out. If there one band to look for in the ATX, it's SLIDER.
I came down to austin for a weekend and saw these guys cause about 10 people told me about the show. i'm glad i went. they were super cool so I bought a cd. I can't take it out of my car
Awsome show!!!!
I can't wait for these guys to come back. Probably the best show i've seen in this town for a while.
