Our Story:

The Daylight Titans is a post-punk, power pop quartet dedicated to finding the perfect balance between melody and urgency.

The Invisible EP is their second release:

"Like the army of guitar jangle bands that crawled the earth in the 80's and early 90's (think Miracle Legion, the Downsiders, all the great, dark Tucson bands), Austin quartet Daylight Titans throw down thoughtful, dynamic songs fed by alternating piledriving rhythms (ala the tale of disconnection 'A1A') with quieter but no less traumatic emotional terrain, like the sparkling, downcast melody of the standout song on this brief EP, Dangle." The caterwauling guitar squalls of 'Whistling in the Dark (While Listening to Om)' stake out far noisier sonic spaces, with singer Andy Smith's vocal skillfully capturing the protagonist's ambivalence and turmoil." -Pop Culutre Press

"Robust, energetic and heavy on guitar; this EP is tight and catchy as all hell." - Rank and Revue

"Damn! I haven't enjoyed some raw wicked rock'n'roll for awhile. These four straight to the point numbers are just that. 'Whistling in the Dark' is an awesome number, with a refrain to die for.
These guys know what they're doing and can write 'songs' when most artists out there seem to have forgotten the art of just putting down a melody and making it interesting." - Feedback from a European record buyer

  2. Tony Pucci says...

The DTs are awesome! Their sensibilities are dead-on; they are the real deal! BUY THE CD!

I really like the music of THE DAYLIGHT TITANTS, this little collection of songs is interesting and very enjoyable for my guitar pop taste. I look forward to future cd's by the group. The
only disappointment for me is the shortness of the disc... I would love to hear more.

  4. Steady Freddy says...

This is really cool. Kind of a new take on the great 80's indie rock sound. Can't wait for a full record.

  5. Suki says...

  6. Daryl says...
