Our Story:

The Irish Goodbye began in July 2007 in a small home studio in Los Feliz, CA. Kevin M. Brennan has been playing in bands all his life, including Tuesday Weld, Rex Banner, Murder Death Kill, The Stummies and Decibators. He began writing songs for The Irish Goodbye when he moved to Los Angeles in the hot summer of 2007. It started as a solo project but quickly blossomed into a roving band of friends, drinkers and other assorted characters. Not long after the initial recording, Dan Houlbrook joined Kevin on guitar and vocals. Soon to follow was Kevin's little brother Tim Brennan on bass. The three form the core of The Irish Goodbye, although there are three Irish Goodbye strongholds in Austin, Chicago and Fort Worth. These strongholds consist of the essence of The Irish Goodbye: friends of Kevin who love playing music and drinking the night away. They consist of members from such bands as Sybris, Say Hello To The Angels, The Atlantic Divide, Born To Lose, Suddenly Lights, and Imperial Battlesnake. More recently Suzanne May has joined the group on vocals as well. The Irish Goodbye has become bigger than the sum of it's parts and won't stop until the music dies or it drinks itself to death.
