Our Story:

Volksmerink is a one man musical project packed full of force and intensity. Artist, Chuck Vollmering, is pounding out ear-ripping guitar riffs, pulverizing drum attacks and gut-wrenching vocals.  The debut statement, “The Suffering of One”, is a pure, anger-driven assault on the ears. Volksmerink has joined forces with King of the Cage and Inman Productions to bring fight fans the raw aggression that is cage fighting and the soundtrack to accompany it.

Chuck Vollmering is one of the founding members of Southern California’s former punk/hardcore band, Malicious Intent. Chuck played guitar and was the driving force behind the band and its successes. Malicious Intent played hundreds of shows and had a large following in the So. Cal. area. Conflicts within the band would be their eventual demise, but not before the intense speed and pure aggression of their music caught the attention of Tommy Stupid (now known as Klute), from the English punk band The Stupids. Subsequently, Tommy and Chuck became fast friends and decided to record a few side projects together. Chuck played all guitars and bass, with Tommy on drums. These sessions went well, and as luck would have it, The Stupids were looking for a guitarist. Chuck opted to leave behind the conflicts and disbanded Malicious Intent. Plans were laid to move to England to join The Stupids, unfortunately, visa and legal problems made this a short venture. After returning to the U.S., Chuck hooked up with the So.Cal. band Fuct. They had two guitarists, but needed a bassist, and walking in to the first practice, Chuck felt right at home. They were playing a couple of original songs and a lot of covers…Slayer, Pantera, Fear…it was very easy to slide into the roll when Chuck already knew half of the song line-up. They worked well together, but individual conflicts ended the band. After the breakup of Fuct, Chuck decided that creating solo projects just might be the ticket. No more conflicts. He started experimenting, writing new material and honing recording skills. Finally finding a niche, Chuck could properly focus his energies…a year and a half later, Volksmerink is the result.
